Editorial Guidelines

Sources: Instagram features and limits are checked against Instagram’s own Help Center and tested in the app. New and refreshed guides link their sources.

Testing: Tools are tested before launch in desktop browsers and on instagram.com. Each tool page shows its version, the date of its last test and its known limits.

AI use: We use AI to help draft and check pages. An editor reviews every page before it goes live.

Accessibility: Unicode “fonts” are special characters, not real fonts. Screen readers can skip them or read them letter by letter, so we advise keeping your main name or keyword in plain text.

Safety: No login-based or private-viewing tools. No content that helps people spy on others, pirate content or break app rules.

Corrections: If you find an error, tell us through the contact page. We check it and update the page with the new date.

Contributed articles: Our archive includes articles written by outside contributors between 2017 and 2025. They are kept as published and reviewed under these guidelines; articles that no longer meet them are taken out of search results.
